i certainly do not intend to contradict mr.sahil’s thoughts. but it appears he has mistaken self esteem to self interest.
By no means, should there be a “necessity” to lower one’s self esteem if u r working in the organization’s interest.
On the contrary, i would submit that it’s self belief that makes one more committed towards the organizational goals.
wats rama’s view?

Hello Rama… glad you because curious…

all (current) hierarchical systems are programmed to kill the self esteem of the individual and work towards the collective esteem of the organization !

If an individual does have a self esteem, (s)he must surrender to the larger good and let go of his/her ego so that the group as a whole can proceed as per organizational goals. one must lose oneself so that the group – the department – the state – the ministry – the nation can win…..

i believe this is what i have heard since time immemorial.

well – no one thought that the collective sum of zeros will always be a zero. but that is besides the point.

i luv this post..more so because as trainers v in and out get to talk abt this to our audience..well that wat u asked this chap is the introspection one needs..unfortunately great readers dont turn out to be great doers! hope these thoughts deep sink into many and a postive self appraisal becomes a key to build up a positive self esteem..gud one
